Spokane Journal of Business Article in Support of "Moving Workers Beyond Three R's"

The three traditional R's of Education--Reading, Writing and Arithmetic--aren't enough for new workers entering the workforce, according to a recent article by ALTEK President Mike Marzetta and Washington Director of America's Edge, a national group dedicated to the strengthening of business through investment in children, and demand a new model for education of today's youth. This education combines the "hard" skills traditionally found in technical programs with the so-called "soft" skills that help create better communicators who are more prepared for the job market.
