CNC Lathe Set Up Person - Swing Shift
$24-$27 Hourly, DOE, plus $1/hr shift differential

The CNC Lathe Set-up Person is responsible for following prescribed standards of CNC operations, set-ups of prototype and established processes, meeting cycle times, promoting on time delivery through their performance efforts, demonstrating knowledge and application of lean manufacturing, promoting teamwork through their behavior, acting in accordance with Altek's Policies and adhering to the goals and expectations as defined by management. Must be available to work swing shift, four 10 hour shifts, Mon-Thurs. Swing Shift pays an additional $1/hour differential plus paid breaks.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED
CNC Machining Certificate or minimum of 3 years as a Machine Shop Operator
Quality-conscious attitude and pride of ownership in designated responsibilities
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to accurately read blueprints
Skilled with portable measuring devices used in the production processes at Altek
Must be able to read and comply with work instructions, quality documents, and other pertinent written material
Working knowledge of GD&T and calculating
Working knowledge of mathematical formulas needed to calculate product dimensioning
Knowledge and skills to pre-stage raw material, perform setups, conduct tool changes, run product and make tool off-sets for proven processes
Should have a reasonably complete set of personal tools to perform set-ups
