The Custodian’s role is to maintain the Altek facility to a high standard of cleanliness, appearance and function.  The Custodian is responsible for ordering janitorial supplies while being cost effective.   Must promote teamwork through behavior, act in accordance with Altek’s Policies and adhere to the goals and expectations defined by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.

  • Ability to stand on feet all day or walk for long hours

  • Able to work with strong chemicals

  • Reliable, strong work ethic, able to self-direct

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Janitorial experience, preferred

  • Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures

  • Working knowledge of sanitation procedures for facility restrooms and heavy traffic areas

  • Thorough knowledge of operation and basic periodic maintenance of floor machines.
